Shot size
How large the subject is in the frame: wide shot, medium shot, medium close-up, close-up, extreme close-up.
Why it matters in production
It is the first word of a generation prompt, and the most effective: “close-up on gloved hands”, “wide shot of the terrace, figures small”. Models know these terms (wide shot, medium shot, close-up). We pick the size according to what the AI can do: hands and faces hold better in a medium shot than in an extreme close-up.
