Archive look
The treatment that makes an image that is too clean pass for a period reel: grain, frame rate, colours, vignetting, dust.
Why it matters in production
Generated images are too clean. Ageing is decided in the edit, never at generation: we keep a sharp image as raw material and apply the same treatment to every shot of a series so they come from the same reel. It also hides some image defects, as long as it is not used as an excuse.
